What is PlasmaChanneling®?
PlasmaChanneling® is an advanced treatment that uses cold or slightly warm plasma energy to support skin renewal and refresh the skin’s appearance. Cold plasma is a highly energised form of gas that is applied to the skin’s surface using specialised devices designed to control the intensity and depth of its effects. This non-invasive approach works at the skin’s surface to support a more youthful and revitalised appearance.
Unlike other energy-based treatments, PlasmaChanneling® does not rely on high heat. Instead, it uses cold or slightly warm True Plasma™ energy to support the skin’s natural renewal process and promote the appearance of firmer, smoother skin. Technology
Many products marketed as plasma pens generate an electric arc – a controlled spark that produces heat and creates a surface burn. True plasma is the fourth state of matter, consisting of ionised gas. Plaxel LUXE creates plasma by ionising the atmospheric gases already present in the air, without requiring an external compressed gas source. This transfers energy through a fundamentally different process. True plasma appears as a soft violet glow rather than a harsh discharge. The clinical effects also differ: true plasma stimulates fibroblasts and promotes collagen remodelling without the same thermal injury profile associated with arc-based devices.
Plaxel LUXE ionises the gases naturally present in the air to create true plasma, the fourth state of matter, without using external compressed gas. The ionised plasma is applied to the skin, transferring energy into the dermis and triggering controlled tissue contraction as well as fibroblast activation. This initiates a natural collagen-production process that helps remodel the skin’s structure. They are connected concepts, but they are not the same thing. Fibroblast treatment describes the category of procedures that stimulate dermal fibroblast cells to create new collagen, while a plasma pen is the tool used to deliver that treatment. It uses plasma energy to form microscopic channels across the skin, significantly improving ingredient absorption while creating an immediate visible lifting effect with zero downtime. Unlike TruePlasma fibroblasting, which continues remodelling over a period of 4 to 6 weeks, PlasmaChanneling works at the epidermal surface and is suited to clients seeking visible improvement without a recovery period. No other plasma device offers this protocol.
Treatments
Plaxel LUXE’s six modalities are designed to address full-face tightening and lifting, hooded eyelids and brow elevation, laxity around the neck and décolleté, fine lines and wrinkles, imperfections such as skin tags, milia, and sebaceous hyperplasia, as well as scalp therapy for thinning hair. Each protocol can be offered as an individual billable treatment.
Results from TruePlasma fibroblasting generally last 2 to 3 years per treatment series because the procedure creates genuine structural remodelling rather than a temporary surface change that disappears as the skin renews itself. PlasmaChanneling results are cumulative and develop further with additional sessions. Longevity varies according to factors such as age, skin condition, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare instructions.
For TruePlasma full-face remodelling, most clients achieve noticeable results after 1 to 2 sessions spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart. Imperfection removal may often be completed in a single session. PlasmaChanneling commonly involves a series of 3 to 6 sessions for progressive lifting, while Hair Rejuvenation generally requires 4 to 6 sessions. Yes. Plasma fibroblasting is specifically intended to provide a non-surgical option for addressing skin laxity. TruePlasma creates immediate tissue contraction and continues stimulating collagen remodelling for several months after treatment. It can be particularly effective for upper-eyelid hooding, crepey lower eyelids, jowls, and laxity around the neck.
Safety & Aftercare
Temporary effects may include small carbon crusts at the treatment points, which typically shed within 5 to 7 days, along with redness and swelling lasting approximately 24 to 72 hours. Mild bruising can also occur. Less frequent effects include post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, prolonged redness, and, in rare cases, scarring caused by improper technique or failure to follow aftercare instructions. Having the procedure performed by a trained, licensed professional substantially reduces these risks.
Traditional plasma fibroblasting may be performed on Fitzpatrick skin types I through IV when precautions such as pre-treatment skin priming and strict sun avoidance are followed. Fitzpatrick types V and VI have a greater risk of developing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Plaxel LUXE’s PlasmaChanneling protocol has a considerably more favourable risk profile for darker skin tones. A licensed provider evaluates the client’s skin type during the consultation process.
Following TruePlasma fibroblasting, carbon crusts usually develop within a few hours and shed over 5 to 7 days. Redness generally settles within 1 to 2 weeks. Most clients can resume normal activities within 24 to 48 hours, but should avoid make-up, direct sunlight, and strenuous exercise while the skin is shedding. PlasmaChanneling involves zero downtime.
Scarring is uncommon and is typically linked to poor technique, unsuitable settings, failure to follow aftercare guidance, or the use of unregulated arc-based devices. When true plasma ionisation is delivered by a licensed professional using calibrated equipment, it does not reach the tissue depths associated with scar formation. This is one of the main reasons Plaxel LUXE is available only to licensed aesthetic professionals.
